How to study better
Is AR and SR good
1. Studying ≠ learning
=> study techniques ≠ learning techniques
base on the study techniques you will end up how efficent your learning is
What’s problem with AR and SR
it’s only working on retrieval aspect of memory only, it doesn’t help with encoding
and with a better encoding, you need less time revising, forget slower
2. Cognative load
this will affect how good your encoding is
Cognitive load feels uncomfortable and confusing
and how to improve the congnative load progress
The bloom’s taxonomy
So your goal is to reach the high level on this pyramid, and here is some way
- Link the thing you just learned with some concept that already in your mind, make a chain connecting all the knowledge together, so the one that you have just learned wont get away from ur brain
- Ask your self when you learn something new:
- how does this relate to what i learned?
- how does this fit into a big picture?
- Ask your self when you learn something new:
